Credentialing allows individuals to work within the ICEMA region (Inyo, Mono and San Bernardino counties) when they meet the established requirements.
Credentialing is available for:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification
- Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) accreditation
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) authorization (Administrative, Base Hospital, Critical Care Transport and Flight Nurse)
Effective August 15, 2014, EMT-Ps and MICNs will be able to download individual EMS credentials (accreditation and/or authorization cards) through the online ICEMA EMS Credentialing Portal. ICEMA will provide an electronic version of the card which can be downloaded to a smart phone or printed at any time, if needed. ICEMA will continue to print and mail State EMT and AEMT certification cards on behalf of EMSA.
